NSB Kings Bay is the preferred East Coast site for the Ohio-class submarines and is currently home to 8 submarines. The Submarine Base is the U.S Atlantic Fleet’s home port for U.S. Navy Fleet ballistic missile nuclear submarines capable of being armed withTrident missile nuclear weapons.
