Hello! My name is Melodye and I'm a California transplant, by way of Hawaii, to Camden County. My family and I relocated here prior to my husband's retirement in 2000. He was familiar with the area but I was not. Once we took Exit 3 and were on Hwy 40 I almost had a heart attack (literally) I shouted where have you brought me and where are all the people. Yes, life in Camden is slower paced and it may take us "City" people a while to acclimate. But, once you do, you'll never look back. I replied to an ad for an office manager position in 2004. While working in that capacity, I learned about Association Management. Within that year, I was afforded the opportunity of managing a full portfolio of subdivisions. I got my real estate license in 2005 and a short time later opened my own HOA management company.
Real estate allowed me to build my business while working in the residential real estate field. Here I am 18 years later. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with Stage 3A breast cancer in 2018. I underwent surgery, chemo and radiation therapy. In 2021 I was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer with mets to my bones. Although i'm not as active in residential real estate as I used to be, I love working with new buyers!
Life is what you make out of the hand(s) you get dealt. I can happily say I am making the most out of mine. I'd love to meet you!
